Baltimore, Md. – Moodlerooms, Inc., a Moodle Partner that provides tools and services to support, expand and share online learning, is pleased to announce a development for Oracle’s new Student Administration Integration Pack (SAIP). The development will allow Moodle, the world’s most widely used open-source online learning system, to connect to the SAIP, the latest offering from Oracle’s Academic Enterprise Solutions that provides standards-based real-time integration between Peoplesoft Enterprise Campus Solutions 9.0 and academic systems.
Institutions using Moodle and Oracle's student information system will benefit from continuously synced course, student and enrollment information between the two systems, as opposed to having to manually export and import the data – an extremely valuable function for managing constant drop/adds during course enrollment periods each semester.
Moodlerooms, which also recently released an integration with Google Apps Education Edition™ to the Moodle community, developed the integration as part of an initiative to provide its customers with an array of tools and services to choose from through a growing partner network in order to create a comprehensive online learning platform.
"In the interest of providing beneficial options to our customers, it is significant that a company of Oracle's stature chose Moodlerooms to develop this integration," explains Martin Knott, CEO of Moodlerooms. "Connecting proprietary software with open-source software is a major step forward for the future of online education."
