Moodlerooms Account Manager

Job Description
 
The Account Manager will ideally meet or exceed sales objectives by promoting Moodle and selling Moodlerooms through the use of professional sales methodologies and the leveraging of long-term customer relationships. This position reports to Moodlerooms’ Director of Sales.


Position Responsibilities
•    Meeting and exceeding set sales quotas
•    Prospecting
•    Moving prospects through the entire sales process, remotely whenever possible
•    Being well informed about current educational industry trends
•    Effectively using a sales force automation tool
•    Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
•    Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows
•    Preparing written and oral presentations, reports and price quotations
•    Managing sales pipeline


Professional Qualifications

•    Bachelors degree
•    3-5 or more years of experience in the e-learning, education, and/or complex solution software sales industries.
•    Significant experience using Moodle in an educational setting is essential.
•    Knowledge of higher education and/or K-12 is strongly preferred.
•    Ability to work in a team environment
•    Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services to meet client goals and objectives
•    Excellent organization and communication skills
•    This position requires the Account Manager to work out of home as base of operation unless based in Baltimore area.
•    Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

PHP Developer / System Administrator

Technical Skills:
  • Strong web applications background
  • Solid coding skills with PHP, XML and MySQL
  • Experience of all other web languages - Java, Ruby, Python
  • Designing user experience with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS
  • Solid architecture experience in MVC, templating, caching, sessions, and authentication
  • Good working knowledge of current PHP Frameworks including unit testing
  • SQL and database schema design
  • Solid Solaris/Linux skills
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of network concepts
