Moodle 200 - Site Administration

Moodle 200 is a 1.0 CEU (10-contact hour) instructor-led, interactive online course. It is an introduction to some of the most common, most basic, most important tasks performed by Moodle site administrators.

During the course of 14 consecutive days, participants should expect to spend 30 minutes to one hour each day completing Moodle 200 activities and configuring their own production site or a Practice Site. Building upon the prior knowledge gained as a Moodle learner (in Moodle 100) and then a Moodle instructional designer (in Moodle 101), during Moodle 200, participants explore Moodle primarily from the perspective of the site administrator.

In a 14 day course, it is not possible to master (or even consider) all of the tasks of Moodle administration. However, participation in this course will help participants begin thinking like a Moodle administrator and will give them the opportunity to discuss Moodle administration with course facilitators, other site administration team members from their enterprise and other participants.

Each day, participants will:

  1. participate in a discussion about the day's task (scored)
  2. learn to perform one administrative task (not scored)
  3. submit an assignment demonstrating that they have mastered the task (scored)

Completion of this course makes individuals participating in the Moodlerooms Certified Trainer Program eligible for the Moodle Site Administrator endorsement.
