Official Release Moodle 1.9.8 Notes

Highlights:

Security fixes to be described by core at a later date.

Fixes for bugs in the Chameleon theme (MDL-21606), Hotpot imports (MDL-20810), and Grade book settings being lost on restore (MDL-21045).

New Settings:

Grade Overview report
Hide totals if contain hidden items?
Default: Hide
Hide totals if they contain one or more hidden items?

Grade User report:

Hide totals if contain hidden items?
Default: Hide
Hide totals if they contain one or more hidden items?

HTTP security:

Regenerate session id during login
Default: Yes
Regeneration of the session id during each login request is highly recommended for security reasons. This setting might not be compatible with some authentication plugins.
