99.99% Uptime

We continuously monitor the performance of our servers and offer an optimized, fully redundant and high availability hosting architecture that boasts a 99.99% uptime and less than two-second average server response time.

Virtualization

Using VMware vSphereTM 4, the industry’s most reliable platform for data center virtualization, Moodlerooms is able to offer the highest levels of availability and responsiveness for your site, as well as optimize IT service delivery and deliver the highest levels of application service agreements. Through virtualization, Moodlerooms is able to quickly provision client sites and increase capacity with rapid deployment of resources.

Unlimited Resources for Infinite Growth

One of the biggest benefits of cloud computing is constant access to additional resources. This means your organization is not tied to the limits of hardware. The Dell Services Cloud allows Moodlerooms to instantly add capacity, providing unlimited resources to allow our clients to scale as much and as often as needed.

Green Computing

Through our use of virtualization, we are able to conserve energy and resources during non-peak use. An issue with modern CPUs is they are so powerful that a single instance of the operating system and one database typically cannot fully utilize the CPU. This means more electricity and hardware is required to remain activated. Using our cloud hosting strategy through Dell, Moodlerooms' solution is more cost-effective and energy efficient because we can simply add more memory to a server and divide its resources into multiple virtual machines rather than deploy multiple physical servers where each server is only partially utilized.

Cloud Security

All client data is secured through physical and application security measures that utilize a Defense-In-Depth (DID) methodology.

Physical Security:

  • 24x7 armed security
  • CCTV surveillance
  • Multi-level security card readers with battery backup
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-recommended best practices for infrastructure device configurations

Application Security:

  • MD5 Hashed Password Protection
  • More than 15 methods of authentication
  • Roles-Based Access
  • Virus Scanning

Testimonial

"We had poor communication with our previous LMS and host, so we really needed a company to host our Moodle LMS that would help us and had a high level of communication. By using Moodlerooms’ managed open-source solution, we have someone to provide support to us if we need it. If there is an error or something that we have difficulty correcting, we can simply open a support ticket with Moodlerooms and they will investigate and solve the issue for us. If we were self-hosting the application, we would be responsible for doing this on our own.”
